This activity develops advanced logical reasoning by requiring children to analyze patterns and make connections. Solving puzzles helps to strengthen their deductive skills and improve problem-solving abilities.
Utilizing Vygotsky's scaffolding, children are guided through progressively challenging puzzles that build on prior knowledge. Each step on the logic ladder encourages them to think critically, enhancing their cognitive skills through increasing complexity.
1. Create a ladder on paper with 5 steps. 2. Write a unique puzzle on each step (e.g., riddles, logic problems). 3. Start at the bottom of the ladder and solve the first puzzle. 4. If correct, move to the next step — if not, try again! 5. Share your favorite puzzle with your family and challenge them! 6. Reflect on which puzzle was the trickiest and why.
