      Why It Works

      The learning connection

Charades engages children in embodied cognition, where they learn by acting out concepts. The immediacy of feedback from peers enhances comprehension, leveraging Vygotsky's scaffolding as they learn from each other's interpretations.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Write down 5 leadership scenarios on slips of paper (like leading a team meeting). 2. Fold the slips and place them in a bowl. 3. Take turns picking a slip and acting it out without speaking. 4. The others guess the scenario and discuss how leadership was communicated. 5. Switch roles and try different scenarios. 6. Reflect on which actions resonated most and why.
