This activity incorporates embodied cognition; children physically engage in decorating the stones while simultaneously contemplating the messages. The act of creation reinforces their understanding of kindness through visual and tactile experiences, allowing them to connect with the idea emotionally.
1. Gather 5 smooth stones and wash them with soap and water. 2. Dry the stones and set up a workspace with a cloth. 3. Use colored paints or markers to write positive messages on each stone such as 'You are loved' or 'Be happy!'. 4. Allow the stones to dry completely. 5. Hide the stones in your neighborhood or give them to friends and family. 6. Share how the recipients reacted to receiving these kind messages.
