Engaging in kindness activates mirror neurons, which help children empathize with others’ feelings. This embodied cognition reinforces their understanding of how kindness is reciprocated, fostering social connections and emotional intelligence.
1. Gather 10 strips of colored paper and a marker. 2. Write a different kind act on each strip (like helping Amma cook or complimenting a friend). 3. Form a chain by connecting the strips with tape or glue. 4. Hang the kindness chain in a visible place at home. 5. Perform each act in sequence and note how it makes you and others feel. 6. Discuss with your family how kindness impacts your home environment.
