      Why It Works

      The learning connection

By using embodied cognition, children physically enact concepts, reinforcing their understanding through movement and emotion. The social interaction during guessing supports Vygotsky's scaffolding, as children learn from each other's interpretations.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Write down 5 human rights and 5 responsibilities on separate pieces of paper. 2. Fold and mix them in a bowl. 3. Take turns drawing a paper and acting it out without speaking. 4. Family members guess the right or responsibility being acted out. 5. Discuss why each right or responsibility is important after each guess. 6. Can you think of a real-life example where this right or responsibility is applied?
