By engaging in a scavenger hunt, children experience embodied cognition as they physically search for germs. This interactive approach helps reinforce the concept of hygiene through discovery, making the learning process more impactful.
1. Gather materials: a notebook, a pencil, and a magnifying glass (if available). 2. Choose 5 areas in your home to search: kitchen, bathroom, living room, doorknobs, or toys. 3. Look closely at each area, writing down any places where you think germs might hide. 4. Use the magnifying glass to inspect these spots — what do you see? 5. Discuss with family why cleaning these places is important for health. 6. Create a cleaning schedule for your family based on your findings.
