      Why It Works

      The learning connection

This game employs embodied cognition, making kids physically aware of their surroundings while training mental focus. The contrast between movement and stillness allows children to practice attention control, a key skill for effective stress management and exam strategies.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Play upbeat music in a spacious area. 2. Move around freely, dancing or walking to the rhythm. 3. Stop the music suddenly and freeze in place. 4. Choose one object in the room to focus on (a plant, a toy, etc.). 5. Stay still and concentrate on that object for 30 seconds. 6. Restart the music and repeat, trying to focus on a different object each time.
