Using Bruner's CPA approach, drawing sequential images helps children visualize the concept of motion. The tangible outcome of flipping through their drawings promotes retention and fosters excitement about storytelling.
1. Take 10 small pieces of plain paper and stack them together. 2. Draw a simple character in different positions on each page, such as a bouncing ball. 3. Number each page from 1 to 10 in the corner. 4. Hold the stack with one hand and flip through the pages quickly with the other. 5. Watch your character come to life as you flip! 6. Share your flipbook with a family member and see their reaction.
