Using embodied cognition, children physically engage with fitness tasks, reinforcing body awareness and understanding of healthy movements. The treasure hunt format adds excitement, encouraging repetition and exploration.
1. Create a map of your home or yard with spots marked for exercises. 2. Choose 5 exercises (like jumping jacks, squats, or lunges) for each location. 3. Set a timer for 30 seconds — complete the exercise at each spot before moving to the next. 4. Do this for all marked spots, recording your completed exercises. 5. After finishing, discuss which exercises were easiest and hardest with your family. 6. Plan a new treasure hunt for next week with different exercises!
