Embodied cognition plays a role here; by physically acting out emotions, children engage their bodies and minds, enabling them to connect feelings with expressions. This kinesthetic approach fosters a deeper understanding of emotional states and enhances emotional intelligence.
1. Write down 5 different emotions on pieces of paper (happy, sad, angry, surprised, scared). 2. Fold the papers and place them in a bowl. 3. Take turns picking a paper without showing it. 4. Act out the emotion silently while others guess what it is. 5. Discuss how each emotion feels and how to handle it. 6. Swap roles and repeat the game.
