Using embodied cognition, children relate physical emoji to emotional experiences, enhancing their ability to grasp complex feelings. This visual connection makes it easier for them to express empathy and understand different emotional states.
1. Gather colored paper and scissors. 2. Cut out 8 different emoji shapes (smiley, sad, angry, surprised, etc.). 3. Use colored pens to decorate each emoji with facial expressions. 4. Discuss with your child what each emoji might feel or think. 5. Create scenarios where they would use each emoji (like sharing toys). 6. Share your emojis with family members and ask how they interpret each one.
