Storytelling activates mirror neurons, allowing children to empathize with characters and experiences. This process, rooted in Vygotsky's scaffolding, encourages children to understand and articulate emotions, enhancing their social skills.
1. Find a cozy spot and sit with your partner (Amma, Appa, Didi, or Bhaiya). 2. Take turns sharing a story about a time you felt strong emotions (happy, sad, or scared). 3. While one shares, the other listens carefully, without interrupting. 4. After the first story, discuss how the storyteller might have felt during that time. 5. Switch roles and repeat the process. 6. Share one new thing you learned about each other’s feelings.
