Creating a Mood Wheel engages children in embodied cognition, allowing them to connect feelings with colors and symbols. This tactile experience enhances emotional literacy, making it easier for them to articulate their emotions in real-life situations.
1. Gather a paper plate and colored markers. 2. Divide the plate into 8 sections using a pencil. 3. Label each section with different emotions (happy, sad, angry, etc.). 4. Color each section with a corresponding color that you feel matches the emotion. 5. Discuss situations that make you feel each emotion with Amma or Appa. 6. Hang your Mood Wheel in your room to remind you of your feelings.
