      Why It Works

      The learning connection

Combining creativity with logical challenges activates multiple cognitive pathways. The process of designing clues uses Vygotsky's scaffolding, allowing children to construct knowledge through collaboration and peer interaction, enhancing their critical thinking skills.

      Extend the Lesson

      Try it with your learner

      1. Gather 5 everyday items from your room (like a book, toy, or shoe). 2. Choose a theme for your escape room (like adventure or mystery). 3. Create 3 clues or riddles leading to each item, writing them down. 4. Set a timer for 15 minutes for your friend or family member to escape by solving the clues. 5. Swap roles and try to escape from your own clues! 6. Discuss which clues were easiest or hardest and why.
