Using embodied cognition, children learn best when they can associate physical movement with learning. Dancing through patterns creates a memorable experience that enhances cognitive recall through active participation.
1. Gather 10 colored blocks or beads of three different colors. 2. Create a simple pattern (e.g., red, blue, yellow) with the blocks. 3. Ask your child to replicate the pattern in a line. 4. Once completed, dance along the pattern by stepping on each block in order! 5. Change the pattern and repeat the dance. 6. Challenge each other to create new patterns and dance them out!
