Using a hydration chart engages children in self-monitoring, which enhances their awareness and reinforces positive habits through Bruner's CPA approach. The tangible act of marking their progress makes the learning experience memorable.
1. Draw a chart with 7 columns (one for each day of the week). 2. Mark 8 rows, labeling each with a time of day (like 8 AM, 10 AM, etc.). 3. Each time you drink water, mark a box on the chart. 4. Aim to fill all boxes in a day to meet your hydration goal! 5. At the end of the week, count how many boxes you filled each day. 6. Share your findings with family — did you stay hydrated?
