This activity introduces children to cryptocurrency concepts through a playful treasure hunt. They’ll learn about digital currencies and the importance of security in managing finances in the digital age.
Engaging in a treasure hunt stimulates curiosity and allows for embodied cognition, where children connect physical actions (searching) with abstract concepts (cryptocurrency) in a memorable way.
1. Create 5 tokens (coins or paper) labeled with cryptocurrency symbols (e.g., BTC, ETH). 2. Hide these tokens around your home in safe spots. 3. Make a simple treasure map or give clues for each token. 4. Set a timer for 15 minutes and start the hunt! 5. Collect all tokens and discuss their meanings and values. 6. Share what you learned with a family member.
