1. Gather materials: 1 battery, 1 LED bulb, 2 wires (or paper clips). 2. Identify a simple problem you can solve with light (like finding things in the dark). 3. Connect one wire from the battery to the LED bulb's positive terminal. 4. Attach the second wire to the negative terminal of the bulb and the other end to the battery. 5. Test your circuit — does the light turn on? If not, troubleshoot! 6. Discuss with your family how your design can improve the solution!
