Utilizing Bruner's CPA approach, children start with concrete materials — their artwork — and move to pictorial representations as they arrange their pieces creatively. This encourages deeper reflection on their artistic decisions and personal growth.
1. Gather 5 pieces of your artwork (drawings, paintings, etc.). 2. Collect magazines, colored paper, scissors, and glue. 3. Cut out pictures, words, or patterns from magazines that inspire you. 4. Arrange your artwork and cutouts on a large sheet of paper. 5. Glue everything down to create a cohesive collage. 6. Share your collage with family — what story does it tell about you?
