Using real objects allows children to engage in embodied cognition, connecting physical materials to creative expression. As they manipulate and arrange items, they strengthen fine motor skills and spatial awareness, aligning with Vygotsky's scaffolding by building on their existing knowledge of nature.
1. Go outside and collect 10 different natural items like leaves, flowers, and twigs. 2. Gather a piece of cardboard or thick paper as your base. 3. Share your creation with family and explain your design choices.
