      The learning connection

Using real-world scenarios engages children in embodied cognition, connecting abstract financial concepts to tangible experiences. As they see their savings multiply each time they add interest, they internalize the value of saving and investing.

      Try it with your learner

      1. Gather 10 coins (₹1 or ₹2) to represent your savings. 2. Create a chart with weeks along the top and total savings below. 3. Start with your amount of ₹10, noting it on week 1. 4. Each week, add an interest of 5% (₹0.50) to your total and record it. 5. After 5 weeks, review how much you’ve earned through compounding. 6. Discuss with a family member how saving money can help you in the future!
