By physically crafting and filling a jar, children use embodied cognition to reinforce their gratitude. The act of writing engages multiple senses, deepening the emotional connection to their thoughts and enhancing their memory of positive experiences.
1. Gather an empty jar or container and colorful paper. 2. Cut the paper into small pieces (10-15). 3. Write one thing you are grateful for on each piece. 4. Fold the papers and fill the jar with them. 5. Share your top 3 notes with a family member. 6. Place the jar somewhere visible — read one note every day!
