Utilizing the dual-task challenge, this game combines memory and attention. As children think about card positions while searching, they enhance their working memory through embodied cognition, reinforcing the mental pathways associated with recall.
1. Gather 20 cards or pieces of paper and draw matching pairs (e.g., shapes, animals). 2. Shuffle and lay them face down in a grid. 3. Take turns flipping two cards at a time to find a matching pair. 4. If they match, keep the pair and take another turn. If not, turn them back. 5. Continue until all pairs are found. 6. Count your pairs and challenge someone to beat your score!
