Utilizing dual-task challenges engages both visual and cognitive processes, enhancing retention through embodied cognition. Children physically manipulate cards while mentally tracking their locations, making memory storage a dynamic process.
1. Gather 10 pairs of identical cards (or use paper to draw 20 matching items). 2. Shuffle the cards and lay them face down in a grid. 3. Take turns flipping over two cards at a time, trying to find a match. 4. If the cards match, collect them; if not, flip them back. 5. Keep track of where cards were located in your mind! 6. Count how many pairs you collected with your family members at the end.
