By using visual aids in a game format, children experience embodied cognition, making the memory task more relatable and enhancing retention through physical interaction with the cards.
1. Create 12 pairs of cards with different pictures (use cut-out paper or index cards). 2. Shuffle and lay all cards face down in a grid. 3. Choose two cards to flip over at a time, trying to find a match. 4. If they match, keep the pair; if not, flip them back over. 5. Repeat until all pairs are found, counting how many turns it took. 6. Challenge a family member to beat your best score!
