Fitness Bingo utilizes the principles of Vygotsky's scaffolding by allowing children to practice exercises at their own pace while also learning from family members. The game format keeps children engaged, encouraging them to explore different movements and improve their fitness levels.
1. Create a 5x5 Bingo card with different fitness activities in each square (e.g., jumping jacks, squats, running in place). 2. Gather your family and explain the rules. 3. Decide how many times to complete each activity for a 'Bingo'. 4. Start at the same time and mark each completed activity on your card. 5. Celebrate when someone gets a line and discuss what exercises they enjoyed the most. 6. Set a timer and repeat for an additional round to aim for another Bingo!
